DELIVERY OF A BRANDNEW CAISSON
Following the success with our client from America in fabricating an oil field caisson several years ago, a similar order has recently been completed. This time, a 88.2 ton drain caisson for an oil field offshore Norway, made entirely from super-duplex steel (UNS 32750) was completed ahead of schedule by AlphaECC within just 4.5 months. Complying with strict requirements by applicable NORSOK standards, our project team managed to make this large size product (IDxL: 1359 x 106300 mm) with newly qualified welders and welding procedures. Careful planning, skillful control of welding parameters (including weld zone protection by shielding and purging gas) and cleanliness of the fabrication area, all contributed to the high quality product.
