Reinforcement for DK1/2, DK1/9
Last month, AlphaECC successfully completed the reinforcement on 02 military troop-base offshore platforms, DK 1/2 and 1/9.
DK troop-base platforms are the series of offshore small facilities built on the swallow water soil, offshore of Vietnam. This program has been developed and monitored by Vietnam MOD (Ministry of Defense) since the year of 80’s to allocate small troops to support fishers and protect Vietnam sea borders.
It’s due to longtime lasted offshore under harsh weather conditions, platforms have been deformed and deteriorated its quality those need to be reinforced, insuring the safety conditions for militants. Since few years ago, MOD has initialized the program of platform quality upgrade and reinforcement, started with some activities performed by Vietsovpetro and Petrovietnam Construction Corp.
In the year of 2008, AlphaECC was pound to be an only private company nationwide to be selected by MOD to continuously carry out the work and the scope of work was to reinforce platforms DK1/2 and 1/9. The work includes the engineering design and method statement, the onshore construction of 250tones triangle legs and 32 pieces of hollow concrete leg support, offshore installation of triangle legs clamped with existing platform jackets and filling the hollow support by concrete to reinforce expansion legs to the seabed. This design is found to be able to ensure the stability of platforms under harsh weather conditions and high, strong current waves.
Despite of vast difficulties encountered during the implementation of project, AlphaECC team, in coordination with its valued subcontractors and suppliers, including militant navy vessels, Falcon Ship, Vissan, etc, had been successfully completed the work with quality, on-time and zero of LTI.
