LIFTING TOOL FOR OFFSHORE WINDFARM INSTALLATION
Two lifting tools with a total weight exceeding 70 tons used for installation of offshore wind turbine foundations have been successfully completed by AlphaECC, awaiting handover to a close client in the Netherlands. The scope of work includes supply of materials, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Stringent tolerances and special material requirements, along with strict adherence to LR manufacturing standards, are some of the factors that AlphECC has committed to ensuring throughout the 26-week construction period.
These giant lifting tools are used for vertically lifting transition pieces to support the installation of increasingly larger and more powerful offshore wind turbines. They are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the marine environment and safely and efficiently lift foundations weighing hundreds of tons.
